Myanmar 2D, 3D Live App

Things I Don’t Understand but Still Use Anyway
H2: Graphics, Cuts, and Glitches
Alright, so I cut hair. That’s my main thing. Been doing fades and tapers longer than most people have been using smartphones. But in between appointments or after a long Saturday when I finally sit down with a plate of wings and my legs screaming, I mess around with side projects.
I ain’t a tech guy. Not really. But I get curious. Download random stuff. Play around.

Lately I’ve been trying to figure out this whole 2D app scene. Not like I’m gonna start designing video games or whatever. But I saw this kid in the chair the other day—he’s 14—whipping up some wild little animated thing on his phone.
Just drawing with his finger, dropping frames, making his own weird cartoon. All on this free mobile animation app. Blew my mind a bit.

H3: You Ever Try to Draw With Your Finger?
I tried it. Felt like trying to edge someone up using a spoon.
Respect to anyone who can do that and make it look clean. I downloaded a couple 2D animation tools—think one was FlipaClip, maybe another was something like RoughAnimator. Free ones mostly. Some laggy as hell, but some smoother than I expected.

Even though I had no clue what I was doing, I got why it’s a thing. Something real satisfying about watching a stick figure you drew throw a punch after you’ve dragged 17 frames into existence. It’s dumb fun. Makes you forget your knees hurt and your clippers are buzzing funny again.

H2: All This Tech Stuff’s Creeping Into the Shop
Not complaining, just noticing. People used to come in flipping through physical photo albums for haircut inspiration. Now it’s all Pinterest boards, saved TikToks, digital sketch apps. I had a client last week show me their own haircut mockup—drew it in a 2d app and everything.
Kinda looked like a mix between an avatar and a LEGO dude, but hey, it helped.

I asked him how he made it and he mumbled something about vector layers and bezier curves. I didn’t press. But I did start messing with a few drawing apps after that.
Mostly scribbles. Hairlines, hats, dumb faces. Nothing fancy.

H3: You Can Waste So Much Time and Still Call It "Learning"
The thing is, these apps—drawing software, animation tools, even basic design apps—they’re deep. Too deep sometimes. Layers, onion skinning, frame rates.
I looked up “what does onion skin do in animation” and got lost in a forum thread for an hour. Could’ve been cutting a head or watching a game. But nope. Instead I’m sitting there trying to make a circle blink.

Still, I get the appeal. Especially for people who like seeing their ideas move around. I’m not there yet. I’m more of a still-image kind of guy. Like a clean before-and-after photo of a skin fade? That’s my Mona Lisa.

H2: Maybe I'm Not Too Old to Try Stuff
I know some folks think once you're past 35, you're supposed to lock in and stop learning new stuff. Nah. I don’t buy that. I'm not saying I’m gonna start some animation studio from my barber chair.
But messing around with a 2d app, learning shortcuts, figuring out what a keyframe does—it feels like brain exercise. Like keeping your fade game sharp, except it’s with goofy drawings and glitchy styluses.

Plus, if nothing else, it helps me understand what my younger clients are into.
Helps the convo flow. When a kid starts talking about how he animated his Roblox avatar doing a backflip, I can nod like I halfway get it. That matters in the shop. That little connection.

H4: Tools Are Tools, Doesn’t Matter If They’re for Hair or Art
Scissors, trimmers, straight razors—that’s my lane.
But I’m starting to see that digital tools are kinda the same. Just gotta learn what each one does. Learn the angles. The pressure. Get used to how it feels in your hand. Whether that’s a brush in a drawing app or a set of guards on your Wahl clippers.

Still haven’t found an app that helps with lineup symmetry, though. Someone should get on that.

H3: Final Thoughts, I Guess
If you're reading this thinking, “Why is this barber rambling about animation apps?”—yeah, fair. But honestly, it’s all connected.
Hair, tech, design. They’re all about seeing something in your head and trying to make it real. Doesn’t always come out perfect. But you try. You adjust. Try again. Kinda like when you mess up a neckline and have to fade it out till it disappears. Not ideal, but fixable.

Anyway, I’m probably not the guy to teach you how to animate a dragon or build a platformer game or whatever. But if you wanna talk about what kind of hair a cartoon character should have? I’m your guy.

Might go try drawing a bald guy next. See if I can make him look interesting.
